Master ICT Silver Bullet Strategy — Times, Setup & Free PDF (2026)

ICT Silver Bullet strategy diagram showing the three one-hour windows — London open, New York AM, and New York PM

Like most ICT concepts, the Silver Bullet strategy is a time-based algorithmic trading model built on liquidity and fair value gaps. It is designed to capture short-term liquidity in a single one-hour window, which makes it the cleanest scalping setup in the ICT toolkit.

The Silver Bullet happens three times every trading day:

London Session Open Silver Bullet — 03:00 AM to 04:00 AM (New York local time).

New York AM Session — 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM (New York local time).

New York PM Session — 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM (New York local time).

You do not need to sit at the screen all day to trade this model. You only need to be at the chart during the one-hour window of whichever session fits your schedule. Each window is designed to deliver a 20–30 pip move on a clean setup.

This guide is the full breakdown of the Silver Bullet — the setup, the times in EST and GMT, the lower-timeframe execution, the win-rate expectations, the common mistakes, and a fully worked example on XAU/USD.

Use the table of contents to jump to any section.

What is the ICT Silver Bullet Strategy?

The ICT Silver Bullet strategy is a time-based algorithmic trading model built on Likuiditas and the Kesenjangan Nilai Wajar. It runs three times a day in a one-hour window each session.

As Michael Huddleston, the founder of ICT, put it: “To quit your job, you need something that repeats every day and yields five handles.” The Silver Bullet is what he was talking about — it repeats every session, every day, and a single clean setup can deliver 20–30 pips.

How the ICT Silver Bullet Strategy Works

Price moves for two reasons: to balance an imbalance in delivery, or to take liquidity. The Silver Bullet is built on both of those mechanics.

Before the Silver Bullet window opens, I mark the nearest buy-side and sell-side liquidity on the 15-minute chart. Those two levels become the reference for the session.

If price has already menyapu likuiditas on one side, it tends to rotate to the other side to grab the opposite liquidity. If price has run beyond a level instead of sweeping it, it tends to continue in that direction toward the next pool.

When the Silver Bullet window opens, I drop to a 1-minute or 3-minute chart and watch for an Pergeseran Struktur Pasar TIK in the direction of the next draw on liquidity.

After the MSS, I mark the fair value gap left behind during the displacement leg. I use the premium and discount framework to confirm the FVG is in the right zone relative to the recent swing.

When price retraces back to that fair value gap, I execute the scalp.

This is how a clean Silver Bullet looks on the chart.

Step-by-Step Silver Bullet Checklist

This is the exact checklist I run before every Silver Bullet session. Save it, print it, do not skip a step.

  1. Mark the buy-side and sell-side liquidity on the 15-minute chart before the window opens.
  2. Wait for the Silver Bullet window to open — 03:00 AM, 10:00 AM, or 02:00 PM New York local time. Do not pre-position.
  3. Drop to 1-minute or 3-minute for execution. The 5-minute can be used for the parent read.
  4. Watch for a Market Structure Shift in the direction of the next draw on liquidity.
  5. Confirm displacement on the MSS leg — the breaking candle should close decisively and leave a fair value gap behind.
  6. Mark the fair value gap created during the displacement leg.
  7. Validate the FVG sits in the correct premium or discount zone relative to the most recent swing.
  8. Wait for price to retrace into the FVG. Do not chase the displacement leg.
  9. Execute the trade on the FVG tap, with stop loss beyond the candle that created the FVG and a take profit at the next liquidity pool — typically a 1:3 risk-reward target.
  10. Close the trade or trail the stop within the same session. The Silver Bullet is a scalp, not a swing.

Waktu Peluru Perak TIK

Below I have tabulated the Silver Bullet times in both EST and GMT. The table covers all three windows — London, New York AM, and New York PM.

Types of Liquidity for the ICT Silver Bullet Strategy

There are seven liquidity types I work with for the Silver Bullet model. These are the references I check on the 15-minute chart before the window opens, in priority order:

(I) Previous day high / low draw on liquidity.

(II) Previous session high / low draw on liquidity.

(III) Established high / low on the 15-minute chart.

(IV) Previous week high / low draw on liquidity.

(V) Return to the current or old week opening gap.

(VI) Expansion away from the current or old week opening gap.

(VII) Relative equal highs or lows.

The first three are the strongest references because they cluster the most resting orders. The lower four are intraday refinements.

Best Time Frame for the ICT Silver Bullet Strategy

The Silver Bullet is a scalping setup that runs inside a one-hour window, so the execution timeframe should be a lower timeframe — 5-minute, 3-minute, or 1-minute.

I use the 15-minute chart as the parent chart to identify liquidity and bias. For the actual entry, I drop to the 1-minute or 3-minute. The 1-minute gives the sharpest entry but it also magnifies noise — I do not recommend it until you have logged at least a hundred 5-minute setups.

Best Pair for the ICT Silver Bullet Strategy

The Silver Bullet was originally designed and tested on US index futures — NASDAQ 100 (NQ Futures) and the E-mini S&P 500 (ES Futures). These remain the cleanest instruments for the model because the time-of-day delivery on US index futures is the most predictable.

It also works very well on forex majors and metals: GBP/USD, EUR/USD, and XAU/USD all respect the same kill-zone logic and the same liquidity pools.

For US-based futures traders, ES and NQ are CFTC-regulated futures and execute through a US futures broker (NinjaTrader, AMP, Tradovate, or a prop firm such as Topstep). TradingView is for chart analysis only — order placement happens at the broker.

Sesi Peluru Perak TIK Terbaik

All three Silver Bullet windows produce setups, but the best of the three is the New York AM session (10:00 AM – 11:00 AM EST).

This window is the strongest because the volatility is highest at the New York open and the session overlaps the tail of London. For traders on US index futures, this window also lines up with the equity open at 09:30 AM EST, which adds order flow.

If you can only trade one Silver Bullet session a day, make it the New York AM.

Contoh Strategi Peluru Perak TIK

Below is a worked example of an XAU/USD New York AM Silver Bullet trade on a Wednesday session.

XAU/USD 5-minute chart at 10:00 AM NY — price runs above relative equal highs and Asian high, taking buy-side liquidity

In the picture above is XAU/USD on the 5-minute chart. After the 10:00 AM window opens, price runs above the relative equal highs and the Asian-session high. That is the buy-side liquidity raid — price is now likely to rotate toward the sell-side liquidity marked below.

XAU/USD 3-minute chart — market structure shift to the downside after liquidity raid, leaving FVG and order block behind

On the 3-minute chart, after the buy-side liquidity raid, price shifts the structure to the downside. The MSS leg leaves behind a fair value gap and an order block — both valid reference points.

Sell trade execution inside FVG — stop loss above the FVG candle high, take profit at previous low for 1:3 risk-reward

After the market structure shift, price retraces back into the order block and the fair value gap. The sell could be executed at the order block, but because the Silver Bullet is built on the fair value gap, I take the entry inside the FVG.

Stop loss goes above the high of the candle that created the fair value gap. Take profit targets the previous low. The setup delivered a clean 1:3 risk-reward.

One thing to keep in mind: the Silver Bullet setup forms inside the one-hour window, but the trade itself can take longer than the window to play out and reach the target. Be patient — do not exit early just because the clock has moved past the window.

Win Rate and Realistic Expectations

The Silver Bullet is not a magic strategy. The win rate I see on a strict execution of the checklist is in the 55–65% range, with a 1:3 average risk-reward target — which is enough to be profitable as long as the rules are honoured.

Two factors degrade the win rate fast: (a) trading outside the one-hour window, and (b) entering before the market structure shift confirms. Both account for the majority of losing setups in the comments I get on this strategy.

Beginners should expect six to twelve months of demo work before risking real capital on the Silver Bullet. A hundred logged setups on the 5-minute chart is a reasonable benchmark before going live.

How Daylight Saving Time Affects the ICT Silver Bullet Times

Daylight Saving Time (DST) is the US practice of moving clocks forward one hour in spring and back one hour in autumn. The clocks “spring forward” on the second Sunday of March and “fall back” on the first Sunday of November, both at 02:00 AM local.

If your country does not follow DST, the Silver Bullet times in your local time zone shift by one hour twice a year — once in March and once in November.

If your country does follow DST, no adjustment is needed. The session times in NY local stay the same.

The cleanest fix is the one Huddleston himself recommends: regardless of where you live, follow New York local time as the base time. The Silver Bullet windows do not move in NY local time — only the time-zone label changes from EST (Eastern Standard Time) to EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) twice a year.

Common Mistakes I See Traders Make on the Silver Bullet

Five mistakes show up in nearly every Silver Bullet comment thread on the site. Avoid these and the model converts at a much higher rate.

  1. Trading outside the one-hour window. The Silver Bullet is a time-based model. Setups outside the window are not Silver Bullet setups, even when the chart pattern looks identical. The clock matters more than the pattern.
  2. Entering before the market structure shift confirms. A liquidity raid alone is not a signal. Wait for the lower-timeframe MSS and the displacement candle close before acting. A wick poke into the FVG without an MSS first is a setup that fails far more often than it works.
  3. Stop loss too tight on the FVG candle. Place the stop beyond the wick of the candle that created the fair value gap, with a small buffer. Stops sitting one pip beyond the FVG are routinely tagged before the trade resolves.
  4. Trading the wrong session for your instrument. US index futures trade cleanest on the New York AM Silver Bullet. Forex majors trade well on London open and NY AM. Picking the wrong session for the instrument shows up as a low-quality setup.
  5. Exiting before the trade plays out. The Silver Bullet setup forms inside the window but can take longer than the window to deliver. Honour the original stop and target — do not close the trade early just because the clock has rolled past the window.

FAQs About the ICT Silver Bullet Strategy

What is Silver Bullet in trading?

The ICT Silver Bullet is a time-based algorithmic trading model built on liquidity and the fair value gap. It runs three times a day in a one-hour window per session and is designed to capture 20–30 pip scalp moves.

What are the Silver Bullet hours?

Three one-hour windows per day, all in New York local time: 03:00–04:00 AM (London open), 10:00–11:00 AM (New York AM), and 02:00–03:00 PM (New York PM).

Can the ICT Silver Bullet be used for scalping?

Yes — scalping is its primary use. It is designed to capture short-term moves of 20–30 pips inside a single one-hour window.

Can the ICT Silver Bullet be used for intraday trading?

Yes, when paired with a higher-timeframe filter like the Bias Harian TIK. Use the daily bias to set direction, then use the Silver Bullet window for the entry trigger.

What is the best timeframe for the ICT Silver Bullet?

1-minute, 3-minute, or 5-minute for execution. The 15-minute is the parent chart for liquidity and bias.

Does the Silver Bullet work on Gold?

Yes. The Silver Bullet works on XAU/USD, on US index futures (NQ, ES), and on the major USD forex pairs (GBP/USD, EUR/USD).

What is the best time to trade the ICT Silver Bullet?

The New York AM session (10:00–11:00 AM EST) is the strongest of the three because of the volatility at the New York open and the overlap with the tail of the London session.

How many pips can you expect per Silver Bullet trade?

Around 20–30 pips per trade on a clean execution, at a 1:3 risk-reward target.

What is the Silver Bullet win rate?

On strict execution of the checklist, I see a 55–65% win rate at a 1:3 risk-reward target. Outside that — trading outside the window or before MSS confirms — the win rate drops fast.

Apakah saya perlu memantau pasar sepanjang hari untuk strategi ini?

No. You only need to be at the chart during the one-hour window of whichever session you trade — typically just one of the three.

Can the ICT Silver Bullet be automated?

The model is rule-based and could be automated, but the discretion required at the MSS confirmation step is hard to encode reliably. Most traders run it discretionary.

How often does the Silver Bullet provide setups?

Up to three potential setups every trading day — one per session window. Not every window produces a clean setup, so plan for one to two trades per day on average.

I hope this guide helps you master the ICT Silver Bullet strategy. You may also want to read my guides on Zona Pembunuhan TIK dan Bias Harian TIK before you put the model on charts.

    1. walaikum salam.

    Tolong beri saya pencerahan🙏

      2. Alright sir, but sir does it means that the silver bullet strategy can give a lower win rate is some month like 20% which might result to a drawdown for that month, like ever since you had being using it or had someone who as being trading with it, have you ever gone below 35% win rate rarely in some month before or its never gone bellow that.

  10. How to trade silver bullet daylight saving on months of regular time, or we need to wait for daylight time to come to 10 am

  11. “1) If price has swept the liquidity of one-side, it may move to the other side to grab the liquidity.

    2) Alternatively, if price has run above/below the liquidity, then it may continue to move further in that direction and grab next liquidity. ”

Can you show me a scenario of #2? And do you first determine the draw of liquidity and confirm with MSS/FVG? Or, do you use MSS to determine if it will continue to liquidity higher or reverse?

  12. I have noticed that this strategy sometimes also works in 2-3 AM NY local time How is it possible since silver bullet is 14-13 pm NY local time???

    1. Use premium/discount to initiate the trade.
if there are two fvgs in premium/discount area you may layer your positions in both of them

  13. “Alternatively, if price has run above/below the liquidity, then it may continue to move further in that direction and grab next liquidity.”

I don’t really understand this, can you help me visualize what this means? Like what is difference between 2 scenarios, and where would the MSS be located??

      1. I understand this. My question is when you said there is going to be a MSS, when will the MSS occur in the scenario with a Liquidity Run, and go further to next draw of liquidity.

Will it happen before the 1st liquidity run to the next DoL, or after the 1st liquidity run?

  14. Is there anything else other than MSS, Buy stop Liquidity,Sell stop liquidity and FVG to look for in the silver bullet hour?

  15. Ayub, i just wanted to know one thing the London silver bullet session 3-4 AM, Is it New York local time or London local time and does it change during the seasons?

  16. hi sir hope you doing good.
Can you little bit explain this sentence “Alternatively, if price has run above/below the liquidity, then it may continue to move further in that direction and grab next liquidity.”
does this means that the market will continue its trend in the same direction? how will we identify the next liquidity? If it is so then how will it return to grab the opposite liquidity?

  17. Is this Strategy only restricted to the given silver bullet time zones or dose it have a good win record outside of the specific time zones.

I use this Strategy but I always put my trades looking at the 1 minut time frame but you can do it using 5 or 3 minut time frame as well is that so?

  18. Hello, I am studying the trading sphere, as I know in New York there is winter and summer trading time, that is, GMT -5 and GMT-4, in general, from March 9 there was a transition to summer time and usually I practiced from 10:00-11:00 according to the ICT silver bullet strategy, does the trading range change to 09:00-10:00 due to the transition to summer time? Does this also apply to 03:00-04:00 and 14:00-15:00?

    1. No the timings for SB do not change.
Its only the timezone which changes
If you follow the NY-Local time the timings for SB and sessions remain same

        1. When the daylight saving is turned on the timezone switches one hour ahead in the countries which follow the daylight saving.
Only the timezone switches but the timings of sessions remains same.
If you live in a country which do not follow the daylight saving then you will notice a change of one-hour in session timings.
Likely when daylight saving is turned off the timings for the sessions remains same only the timezone is switched one hour back.

  19. Pls am skeptical about something being forward testing this strategy for over 4months now and my win rate as being 70% some month 55% while some month 60%, I tried back testing the strategy for a longer period on trading view after subscription but I wasn’t able to get a 12months back testing result only 4months, I just wanna know do you have any record of any body trading this strategy for at list 12month, cause I wanna figure out if dey are gonna be some months which might generate 30% wine rate or lesser, or can you pls tell me the minimum low win rate one can get in some month, pls share your experience sir, everyone says its gives 70% win rate but no one saying the lowest win rate in some month, I just wish to know thanks

  22. Hello sir mai konsi strategy follow ek complete roadmap kaha sy lun mujy sir Michael ki English samj ni ati please koi road map bta dy

  23. fain silver bullet, fain ict. The trick is that the market works according to price action and orderflow. Banks, for example, are not interested in taking over retail, especially sl. The ict man is a good man.

  24. “To quit your job, you need something that repeats every day and yields five handles.”. If the stop is more than 5 handles, would he enter that trade which results in R<1?

    1. Hi Reza, good catch, but the five handles is talking about the daily profit target on ES, so 5 handles is 5 points. It is not the size of your stop. It does not mean your stop has to be under 5 handles. The Silver Bullet still uses a tight stop just past the swept liquidity, often a fraction of a point on the entry timeframe, so a 5 handle target against that small stop is a high R trade, not a losing one. The handles describe what you are aiming for in a day. Your risk is sized by the setup, not by the target. Never widen your risk just to chase a fixed point goal.
