👉 Buy Now!The ICT Redelivered Rebalanced Price Range — also called the ICT RDRB or RRPR — is a hidden PD array.
Mostly price forms a fair value gap while moving in a direction, but sometimes price may redeliver and rebalance at the spot — resulting in no visible imbalance in the price delivery.
So the ICT RDRB typically develops within a price leg where no clear imbalance exists, indicating that price delivery is efficiently balanced without delay. Despite the lack of a visible FVG, the area still acts as a PD array — support in a bullish setup, resistance in a bearish setup.
In this guide I walk you through the redelivered rebalanced price range — the meaning, the 2-candle identification, the bullish and bearish setups, the trade flow, common mistakes and the FAQ.

What is the ICT Redelivered Rebalanced Price Range and How to Identify RDRB?
The ICT redelivered rebalanced price range is a less-known PD array which is made up of two candlesticks.
In this scenario, price delivers to one side and then comes back, closing the candlestick with a wick.
The next candlestick then opens and redelivers in the same direction and closes there.
So these two candlesticks make the ICT redelivered rebalanced price range together.
You can see the picture of the ICT RDRB price range in the image below.

You have to forget about these two redelivered and rebalanced candlesticks themselves, and instead mark the wicks of the previous and the next candlestick (the candles immediately surrounding the RDRB pair) as shown in the picture above.
The area of price between these two wicks is the redelivered rebalanced price range.
Bullish ICT Redelivered Rebalanced Price Range
In a bullish price delivery context, an ICT redelivered and rebalanced price range forms when the market initially moves to the buy side but retraces, leaving a wick on top of the candlestick as it closes.

The subsequent candlestick then opens and continues higher, effectively redelivering to the buy side and closing at elevated levels.
You can see the example of the bullish ICT RDRB price range in the picture below.

Bearish ICT Redelivered Rebalanced Price Range
During bearish price delivery, a redelivered and rebalanced price range can form when price initially drops toward the sell side but pulls back before the candle closes, leaving a lower wick.
The next candle opens and resumes the downward move, delivering price lower and closing near or at the lows — confirming continued bearish intent.
You can see the example of the bearish ICT RDRB price range in the picture below.

How to Use the ICT RDRB Price Range in Trading
The ICT redelivered rebalanced price range is a PD array and works like other PD arrays.
In a bullish scenario, when price forms the ICT RDRB price range and retraces back to it, look for a buy from this price range — because it acts as support.
In a bearish scenario, when price forms the ICT RDRB price range and retraces back to it, look for a sell from this price range — because it acts as resistance.
Step-by-Step ICT RDRB Trade Flow
This is the exact sequence I run when trading an RDRB price range.
- Identify the higher-timeframe bias. Daily and H4 — bullish or bearish.
- Spot the 2-candle RDRB pair. First candle delivers in one direction and pulls back leaving a wick on the close-side. Second candle opens and redelivers in the same direction.
- Mark the surrounding wicks. Forget the RDRB pair itself — mark the wicks of the candles immediately before and immediately after the pair. The area between these two wicks is the RDRB price range.
- Confirm bias alignment. A bullish RDRB inside a bullish bias is high-probability. A counter-trend RDRB has a much lower hit rate.
- Wait for the retest. Price must retrace back into the RDRB range.
- Drop to the lower timeframe. 5-minute or 1-minute for the entry trigger.
- Wait for the LTF MSS. A clean Market Structure Shift inside the RDRB range confirms the reaction.
- Enter on the retest. Buy at a bullish RDRB; sell at a bearish RDRB.
- Set the stop. Beyond the opposite edge of the RDRB range, with a small buffer.
- Take profit at the next draw on liquidity. Old high/low, relative equal level or higher-timeframe FVG.
RDRB vs Fair Value Gap
The RDRB looks superficially similar to an FVG but the mechanic is different.
- Fair Value Gap (FVG) — a 3-candle imbalance where the wicks of the 1st and 3rd candle do NOT overlap. The gap is visible on the chart.
- RDRB price range — a 2-candle delivery-and-redelivery pattern where price moves, retraces leaving a wick, then redelivers in the same direction. The “range” is marked between the wicks of the surrounding candles, not between the RDRB candles themselves. The price-range area is “hidden” inside what looks like an efficient delivery.
Both work as PD arrays — support in a bullish setup, resistance in a bearish setup. The RDRB is the rarer and less-recognised variant.
Best Markets for the ICT RDRB
The RDRB price range works on every market that the ICT methodology is applied to.
- NQ (NASDAQ futures) and ES (S&P 500 futures) — fast 1-minute and 5-minute price action makes the 2-candle RDRB pattern visible and tradeable on US indices.
- GBP/USD and EUR/USD — RDRBs form during clean directional London-killzone legs.
- XAU/USD (Gold) — gold’s news-driven legs frequently include RDRB pairs that get retested on later sessions.
For traders in the United States who follow the CFTC FIFO and no-hedge rules, NQ and ES on the 5-minute and 1-minute charts are the most natural fit for RDRB-based entries. The 09:50 NY-AM macro window often produces RDRBs that get retested later in the same NY session.
Common Mistakes Trading the ICT RDRB
These are the recurring mistakes I see when traders first start trading RDRBs.
- Marking the wrong candles. The price-range area is NOT between the two RDRB candles — it is between the wicks of the candles immediately before and immediately after the RDRB pair. Marking it on the RDRB candles themselves inverts the zone.
- Trading without bias. RDRBs against the higher-timeframe bias rarely hold. Always reference the daily and H4 first.
- No LTF MSS confirmation. The retest of the RDRB range alone is not the entry. The lower-timeframe Market Structure Shift is the trigger.
- Confusing RDRB with FVG. An FVG is a wick-to-wick gap. An RDRB is a delivery-redelivery pattern with no visible gap. Different mechanics, different identification.
- Stop too tight. Stops parked at the body of the RDRB candles can get hunted on the wick. Place the stop beyond the opposite edge of the RDRB range with a small buffer.
- Treating every 2-candle continuation as RDRB. The RDRB requires the specific delivery-pull-back-redeliver pattern. A simple 2-candle continuation without the wick-pull-back is not an RDRB.

FAQs about the ICT Redelivered Rebalanced Price Range
Brief answers to the questions readers ask most often about the RDRB.
What is the ICT Redelivered Rebalanced Price Range?
The RDRB (also called RRPR) is a hidden PD array formed by two consecutive candlesticks where price delivers, retraces leaving a wick, then redelivers in the same direction. The price range is marked between the wicks of the candles immediately before and after the RDRB pair, and acts as support (bullish) or resistance (bearish).
What does RDRB stand for in ICT?
RDRB stands for Redelivered Rebalanced. The term refers to price that delivers in one direction, pulls back to rebalance, and then redelivers in the same direction.
How is the RDRB different from a fair value gap?
A fair value gap is a 3-candle wick-to-wick imbalance — there is a visible gap between the 1st and 3rd candle wicks. An RDRB is a 2-candle delivery-and-redelivery pattern with no visible gap. The RDRB is the “hidden” PD array; the FVG is the visible one.
How do I identify an RDRB on the chart?
Look for two consecutive candles where the first delivers in one direction and closes with a pull-back wick, and the second opens and continues in the same direction without a gap. Then mark the wicks of the candles immediately before and after this pair — the area between those wicks is the RDRB price range.
Where is the RDRB price range marked?
Between the wicks of the candle immediately before the RDRB pair and the candle immediately after the pair. NOT between the two RDRB candles themselves.
How do I trade a bullish RDRB?
After price retraces back into the bullish RDRB range, wait for a lower-timeframe Market Structure Shift to the upside, then enter long. Stop below the opposite edge of the RDRB range, target the next draw on liquidity above.
How do I trade a bearish RDRB?
After price retraces back into the bearish RDRB range, wait for a lower-timeframe Market Structure Shift to the downside, then enter short. Stop above the opposite edge of the RDRB range, target the next draw on liquidity below.
Does the RDRB always work?
No — like any PD array, the RDRB has a hit rate, not a guarantee. Bias-aligned RDRBs with a lower-timeframe MSS confirmation deliver the highest reliability. Counter-trend RDRBs often fail.
Where do I place the stop loss?
Beyond the opposite edge of the RDRB range, with a small buffer. For a bullish RDRB, below the lowest wick of the marked range. For a bearish RDRB, above the highest wick of the marked range.
Where is the take profit?
The next draw-on-liquidity in the trade direction — typically a relative equal high/low, the prior session high/low or an unfilled higher-timeframe FVG.
Does the RDRB work on indices and gold?
Yes — NQ, ES and XAU/USD produce RDRBs during clean directional legs, especially during the New York AM session.
