ICT Abbreviations List

(I) AMD is the abbreviation of accumulation, manipulation and distribution which is also known as ICT Power of 3.

(II) BISI is the abbreviation of buy side imbalance sell side inefficiency. It is basically the bullish ICT Fair Value Gap.

(III) SIBI is the abbreviation of sell side imbalance buy side inefficiency. It is basically the bearish ICT Fair Value Gap..

(IV) BPR is the abbreviation of ICT Balanced Price Range . It is basically the area of overlapping between two ICT fair value gaps.

(V) BSL is the abbreviation of Buy Side Liquidity, which means the buy stops placed at/above old highs or stop loss of sellers placed at/above the old highs.

(VI) SSL is the abbreviation of Sell Side Liquidity which means sell stops placed at/below old lows or stop loss of buyers at/below old lows.

(VII) BE means breakeven. When you execute a trade and it goes in your favor you move stop loss at the execution price, So if your stop loss gets triggered you end in no loss no profit which means breakeven.

(VIII) BOS is the abbreviation of Break of Structure (BOS) . When price moves in a trend and break previous high/low it is called break of structure.

(IX) CE means ICT Consequent Encroachment which is basically the 50% retracement level of an ICT fair value gap .

(X) FVG is the abbreviation of ICT Fair Value Gap which is a three candle formation in such a way that there is a gap between 1st and 3rd candlestick where price has not retraced previously.

(XI) HTF refers to the higher time frame of market like 1 Hour, 4 hour , 1 day or 1 week and 1 month.

(XII) LTF is the abbreviation of lower time frame of market like 1 minute, 5 minute or 15 minute.

(XIII) IPDA is the abbreviation of Inter Bank Price Delivery Algorithm which is the algorithm that delivers the price online on the charts.

(XIV) ITH is the abbreviation of Intermediate term High which means a high in between 2 major highs.

(XV) ITL refers to the intermediate term low which basically means the low in between two major lows.

(XVI) MSS is the abbreviation of ICT Market Structure Shift which means the change in the direction of market which can be short term or long term.

(XVII) MT is the abbreviation of mean threshold which means 50% retracement level of ICT Order Block .

(XVIII) OB is the abbreviation of ICT Order Block which is an ICT smart money concept used to execute/look for a trade opportunity .

(XIX) OTE is the abbreviation of ICT Optimal Trade Entry which is an ICT trade entry model based on the Fibonacci using market trend.

(XX) PDL is the abbreviation of previous day low which means the low/wick of the yesterday’s candlestick.
